Earlier this year, Meditech hosted an advanced training course focused on
the integration of Laser Therapy in the treatment of wounds. The
response to this event has led to continuing interest in this topic; the
result – a second one-day session will be held on Sunday September
20th, 2009. At this event, papers will be delivered on wound
management techniques that may be applied to your individual clinic
setting. The programme will feature the “Meditech Approach to Wound
Healing” and the keynote speaker will be Dr. Mary Dyson.
A review of the literature will be followed by Dr. Dyson’s lecture – Soft Tissue
Repair. Subsequent presentations will include a number of diverse clinical
cases and then Dr. Dyson will close with a presentation on the Systemic
Effects of Photons - Immunomodulation. Included in the course will be the
customization of protocols, hands-on demonstrations and training in the
Meditech Wound Care Facility. A lecture will also be provided on the role of
the Hyperbaric Medical Chamber in the healing of wounds.
The course will be conducted at our corporate headquarters. Certification
will be presented to all attending clinicians. Attendees are encouraged to
sign up early, as space will be limited to 30 participants.
